Seeking Knowledge
How does one obtain knowledge and wisdom? Through experience and insight. Experience of this particular earthly life and insight gained through spiritual experiences. This is how the minds eye (6th Chakra) sees things or develops understandings about things; through life’s experiences and spiritual experiences. Life’s experiences are related to the everyday activities that occupy your existence during this life. But spiritual experiences, one obtains through desire and earnestly seeking. There are many ways to seek or desire spiritual experiences.
Knowledge comes from the physical as well as the astral plane. Experiences from both feed to the fragment to help provide knowledge. Knowledge is based on experiences through the chakras, senses, and help provide wisdom for the fragment. The depth and understanding is dependent on the higher self on the astral. Information, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, works from the astral to the fragment, from the physical to the fragment and vice versa.
It will be important to train your mind to remember. The reason why this is important is that as you progress in your spiritual abilities you will become adept at releasing yourself from the body. And during such times you spiritual body and soul will go beyond the body, such as travel to your higher self, or your guides, and even go beyond to other dimensions, times, or levels including the astral plane, causal, midcausal, etc. In having such experiences you will want to be able to recall and remember these experiences and insights. To do so you must train your mind to remember and recall. Recalling such experiences can be challenging because your mind may not accept that it does not control all aspects of being. In other words, as you travel, it may say “this is impossible” and not allow the memory to happen. Therefore, you will not recall the experience because the mind does not accept such as something that is real. For me, my recall process is often done in the dream state because my mind is more likely to accept information as a dream and in dream images than it otherwise would.
Here is a way to help train and improve your memories for such spiritual experiences. In your meditations inspect for memories. Note how clear they are when the chakra is properly aligned and balanced. Note how each detail is captured (each detail of experiences are captured in your memories). That you may recall at will. This is the basic concept of the examination or perhaps training meditation.
As you feed the mind and examine it with attention to memory, your memory will improve. The next step is to improve it during dreams and the third is to improve it during travel.
After you have entered the expansion mode, focus its bounds on memory and engage these 3 exercises:
1st) I have a good memory
2nd) it serves me well in sleep
3rd) it improves with astral travel
Perhaps the best way to think of it is to search or follow or examine the bounds, not as you would a room, but of your mind. As you note the memory, then focus in on it. This is new and will be some what uncomfortable at first so do not expect miracles but realize you are learning and training. As you focus, you will note the bounds contract and may feel disappointed that you lost the mediation, but you have not; you have only directed it or focused it. After the examination or training, you may wish to go to discover mode again or to end your choice.
Begin a meditation as you feel comfortable and as you have done in the past. Visualize that your memory is working well. Visualize that love is strong and the chakra points are glowing, aligned, and balanced. Let your mind wander on these points but notice that the chakra is still glowing, aligned, and balanced. Visualize resting and and recite in your mind that you are free and weightless and wish insight into specific idea. Note that as you rest, your body relaxes your mind rests, and your soul grows in energy. Note that your body feels light and that the soul is lifting and traveling.
Visualize it leaving and contacting other souls, gaining insight and knowing them. See how refreshed your souls are. Now that the soul is refreshed, see how it gently returns to the body bringing knowledge and insight to the mind. See how the mind is eager to accept this information and remember the experience. As it does so, you awake with love and closeness, and insight. Then end the meditation.
The important thing about meditation is to feel comfortable and not constrain or forced. Do what feels right.
Is there a specific order to follow in the meditation? No, but as you practice aspects, do not abandon one and concentrate on another for you will become unbalanced in your approach and therefore receive unsatisfactory results.
As you meditate, choose one or two points or thoughts to consider. For example, the thought of improved memory and the related thought of travel remembrance. Don’t try to put too much into it. Keep it simple so that the mind can broaden and grow and so that the mind is clear of trying to remember what comes next.
As you start your meditations, different avenues can be used. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Also, be aware that knowledge comes through learning which may take time. As you develop your talents and abilities you will find that it is by step after step and not in a giant leap. Enjoy each step for they have things to offer and insights to experience. Feel free to try other meditations and create your own.
In a mind training or insight meditation, decide what you wish to experience or learn and mediate on that. For example, you decide to gain knowledge about a specific thought or idea such as “what is love?” or “ why do I feel hate?” or “how can I help others?” or any other specific idea. As you gain the level of meditation you feel comfortable with, plant this thought, the one you chose beforehand, in your mind and wait and see what thoughts it attract. For example, the thought “what is love” will generate many thoughts and ideas but only some may be related to your original idea. All others should be discarded by your mind and always returning your thoughts to the original. As new thoughts come in, inspect them or compare them or analyze them with how they relate to the original idea. You may gain insight into the original idea in this manner.
The purpose in any life experience is to gain knowledge, experience and insight. Insight allows knowledge. Knowledge allows talents to be used in your life path and journey.
Question: How does one gain insight?
Answer: Astral travel can help one gain insight. So can dreams. Travel and insight only help to speed the process of gaining insight.
You cannot force your mind to become open or blank. The harder you try, the more thoughts are generated trying to convince your mind not to think and that causes more thoughts to suppress those thoughts and a cycle begins. So, the proper procedure would be to sit comfortably and let your thoughts wander. Don’t try to decide a direction or focus, but sense what comes to mind. As you experience this, notice that feelings and thoughts arrive without effort and that a period of openness can also be established. In other words, let your mind wander and then the feelings or thoughts may enter. A mind engaged in exercise is not free to receive.
We each obtain our knowledge by the way that best allows us to learn; through each one’s personal experience.
